Transfer Student Highlight - Transfer Success Stories
Layah SalazarLayah is a first-year transfer majoring in Psychology! In January, she received an incredible research opportunity as a Research Assistant in the Mind-Body Lab and Dr. Kernsmith’s lab. She recently joined two different research teams working with the Mind-Body Lab and Dr. Poco Kernsmith. One project focuses on how AI responds to users with plans to inflict violence, and the other looks into how social relationships may help people cope with physical pain. Layah says, “If you are patient and just continue persevering, the opportunities will come to you!” | ![]() |
