Transfer Student Highlight - Transfer Success Stories
Jennifer Ulloa De La TorreJennifer is a second-year transfer and was recently accepted into the UCLA School of Law, Law Fellows Program. This fellowship is designed to encourage high-potential undergraduate students for a career in law. Jennifer will attend academies at UCLA School of Law, receive academic support and mentorship, and complete a J.D. action plan. “My acceptance into a T-14 fellows program wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for encouraging mentors, supportive friends, and family,” says Jennifer. Transfer FormalThe Transfer Experience and Transfer Connection LLC are hosting the annual Transfer Formal on January 23rd at 7 pm in Tom Bradley International Hall. This event takes place during Transfer Pride Week and marks the conclusion of the week-long celebration. The formal theme is The Great Gatsby, and the event will feature music, complimentary food, and drinks. All UCLA undergraduate students are welcome to attend. | ![]() |

Disney National Geographic Internship - Jan. 19

Getty Center/Getty Villa Internship - Jan. 21
The Getty is offering paid summer internships for students from backgrounds underrepresented in the arts in areas including, but not limited to, conservation, museum education, curatorship, philanthropy, and publications.
Scholarships
Key Into Public Service Scholarship - Jan. 20
Membership in Phi Beta Kappa is NOT required to apply. Selected students are required to participate in an educational conference taking place in Washington, D.C. from June 24-28, 2026. This conference will highlight pathways into various public service careers, provide a mentoring conversation tailored to the recipient's interests, and offer additional networking opportunities.
Alfred and Frances Escherich Endowed Scholarship - Jan. 26
For Business Economics majors with a strong interest in business administration, the UCLA College Alfred and Frances Escherich Endowed Scholarship was established in 2016 to provide scholarship support for UCLA undergraduates in the Department of Economics in the College of Letters and Science.
Carl H. Unruh Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship - Jan. 26
For UCLA College undergraduates connected to adoption and/or foster care, with demonstrated financial need, the Carl H. Unruh Undergraduate Scholarship Endowment was established in 2006. Connections to adoption and/or foster care could include, but are not limited to, students who are, or have been, adoptees, members of a family that includes one or more adoptees, adoptive parents, birth parents who have surrendered a child for adoption, current or former foster parents, currently or formerly in foster care and interested in researching adoption-related issues.
Global Bruins Scholarship - Feb. 22
Study Abroad students applying to the Global Bruins Scholarship will be automatically matched to the scholarships listed below, based on eligibility. You only need to submit one application to be considered for these scholarships.
Richard and Gerrie Leeds Study Abroad Scholarship - Feb. 22
The Richard and Gerrie Leeds Study Abroad Scholarship is made possible by the generosity of Richard and Gerrie Leeds. This scholarship is available to UCLA undergraduate students in the humanities (see list of humanities majors and humanities minors). Priority will be given to students with high financial need and who have not studied abroad. Must meet eligibility.
Student Government/Clubs
Winter Committee Integration Program - Jan. 19
The Committee Integration Program aims to educate new students about the structure of USAC and provide them with experience for future staff, director, and elected positions within the student government. After full completion of the program and training, students will be integrated into either the TSR or the ISR office as staff members. Open to all students, freshmen and transfers encouraged to apply.
Transfer Student Advocacy Day Steering Committee - Jan. 23
Transfer Student Advocacy Day will be taking place on April 16, 2026, at the California State Capitol. In the build-up to TSAD, the USAC EVP and TSR’s offices are creating a steering committee that aims to include historically marginalized students from the transfer identity. Committee members will assist with the outreach and development of legislative priorities to shape UCSA’s legislative agenda for TSAD.
Bruin Political Review Writer, Editor, Graphic Designer - Jan. 11
Join Bruin Political Review, a student-run non-partisan political journal, as a Writer, Editor, and Graphic Designer!
Undergraduate Business Law Review Writer - Jan. 23
UBLR aims to foster thoughtful and accessible dialogue at the intersection of business, law, and policy. The Spring 2026 Edition of the UBLR is accepting proposal submissions for articles and comments until January 23.
