To honor two longtime LAANE supporters, we established the Beth and Julia Meltzer Internship Program in 2012. With annual support from private donors, LAANE offers paid internship positions across roles ranging from community and worker organizing to communications, development, and research. Additionally, interns learn firsthand how LAANE operates, participate in professional development sessions, and explore the history and importance of the labor movement in the fight for racial and economic justice. This transformative internship program helps jump-start interns' careers: many have gone on to work for progressive organizations, government institutions, and unions. Some have even become LAANE staff members!
